Top Ten Members of Achievement Hunter and FunHaus

1Caleb Denecour
Caleb is a strange person to try to describe why he’s on this list. However, he isn’t the hardest to describe. Caleb’s worked with Achievement Hunter since 2011 when he was hired to be the Community Manager. Basically being Community Manager means that practically every email for the AH crew goes through him and he also schedules a lot of the major events that AH does, such as Let’s Play Live and such. Caleb is on my favorites list for multiple reasons.

First off, he’s 27 but looks about 17 or 18 in most pictures. Secondly, he gets to work with people who are all giant nerds and still has free time to do sports that he loves. Thirdly, he got punched during Extra Life by a ten year old and took of the brace that was keeping his shoulder immobilized because “#ForThe Kids.” Fourth and finally for this post, Caleb plays Ultimate Frisbee professionally and even put off getting a semi-important surgery just because he didn’t want to take time off from the sport (he finally had the surgery done – between 3 and 5 years after the original injury- in early November/Late October of 2015).
2Matt Bragg
Matt Bragg is number nine of my favorites list because, even though he was hired at the same time as Number one, Matt is still in the editors office and works with the “B-team” which stands for Build Team. It consists of Matt, Number one, Number six, and Number seven. He was hired by practically asking for a job at RTX 2014 during the Achievement Hunter panel and he and the guy in number one on this list both got hired on the spot. Matt has a terrible diet. He’s well known for eating straight up unhealthy food for his lunches and yet he is still beanpole skinny.

A prime example of Matt Bragg’s diet problem. He used to have long hair until on the Extra Life 2015 stream when Rooster Teeth raised enough money to hit a stretch goal and he had his head shaved. Matt had been in a few AH videos before actually being hired because he made some maps for their Minecraft plays. He still mostly does it for Minecraft and has started doing some maps in other games such as GTA. Many times he’s accidentally been called “Map Bragg” instead of Matt. I guess you could say that Matt is on my favorites list because he’s just a giant nerd who got his job by simply just asking for it and he’s got quite a unique humor.
3Trevor Collins
Oh Trevor. How to explain why Trevor is my number eight favorite? Well, he’s one of the last group of hires that happened in 2014. He does editing and has appeared in a few videos. He’s taken over running the Community channel and can be seen in AHWU (Achievement Hunter Weekly Update) doing the community videos. Other than that, he’ll help do filming for their more live content and he also works with the Game Kids channel. He’s often called TreyCo around the office because nicknames are apparently really popular. He actually was playing a game with the number one person on this list and the person named the server that they were going to use “TreyCo Malfoy” which I found really hilarious, as did Trevor. Trevor is on my list of favorites because he’s a nerd who got a degree in Aerospace engineering and yet is working as an editor for a Video Game branch of an entertainment company.
4Kdin Jenzen
Kdin, the guy who’s name will get misspelled the most by any and everyone. Kdin started working for AH in 2013. He’s another part of the “B-team” as well as an editor and films for the live video things AH produces (such as GO!, VS, and Presented With Comment). Kdin also runs his own YouTube channel, as do a lot of people on this list actually, on the side of doing the videos and such for AH with his fiance and one of their friends called Multipurpose Gaming.

Now when I say that Kdin is a nerd, I mean it in every sense of the word and not just the loving way that some people call people nerds nowadays. Kdin graduated high school at 13 and college at approximately 15 with a degree in mathematics education. Basically the AH guys joke with him that “everything went downhill from when you started talking to us” because he edits let’s plays instead of doing things like science or teaching.
5Lindsay Jones
Lindsay is, unfortunately, the only woman on this list. When Lindsay started working with AH in 2013, she wasn’t Lindsay Jones yet… She was just Lindsay Tuggey. Through working with AH she met her (now) husband – who is also on this list- and has moved up from just doing editing, filming, and being part of the “B-Team” to where she’s now in quite a few videos. She’s one of the few from the “B-team” that are in the VS rotation, she was actually the first one from that part of the AH crew to be added. Lindsay is great and one of my favorites because not only does she love cats – she has a Pusheen that travels with her every time she travels somewhere- but she also isn’t the greatest at video games, which gives me hope that not everyone who works with video gaming companies has to be great at video games.

Lindsay is also one of my favorites because of the amount of voice acting works she does for RT alone. She voices the main character in the RWBY series, voices a major character in X-Ray & Vav, and plays a somewhat major role in Red Vs Blue. She’s great and I can’t really put my admiration for her in any other way besides that.
6Matt Peake
Matt Peake, the quiet editor from FunHaus and the first FunHaus guy on the list. Peake is harder to describe as to why he’s my favorite because he doesn’t exactly say much a lot of the time. However when he has to put up with the shenanigans of the rest of the FH guys, and still be able to get work done, that earns a lot of my admiration. Peake is a really sweet guy from his answers on FH’s Open Haus show have taught me. Probably one of the best and my most favorite things about Peake is that fans of his have created a name for themselves called the “Cult of Pe/\ke” that even has a shirt in the Rooster Teeth Store.

The rest of Funhaus representing the Cult of Pe/\Ke. It’s a strange following but it’s also funny and interesting to see a guy that doesn’t say all that much in a lot of their videos can have such a big and loyal fan base. To put it easily, Peake is my favorite because he’s able to put up with shenanigans from
7Michael Jones
Michael Jones. There is a lot to say about Michael Jones and why he’s my favorite. Michael started with AH back in 2011 and he was found off of YouTube doing a show called “Rage Quit” – Which has a new episode coming out Friday for the public and its the first new episode in quite a few months- and he’s become a pivotal part of AH since. Currently he not only is part of the “Main Six” but he also is the main host for the AH Podcast “Off Topic” and does voice acting for RWBY and other various Anime. Now Michael Jones has become my favorite for a few simple reasons besides all of the stuff listed above. He is willing to do a lot of things for charity, or really just money in general. He’s done the cinnamon Challenge, the saltine cracker challenge, the 5-lb gummy bear challenge, he ate energy powder – and not just one packet about a dozen or more of them actually-, ate a really hot pepper – jalapeno I believe but I could be wrong -, ate about 3 dozen pix stixs at one time, drank a squirt bottle of BBQ sauce, and then a few years later drank an entire bottle of BBQ sauce in 90 seconds. That’s just the list of things he’s done that aren’t for charity. His list for charity has been captured on camera for their Extra Life streams. He once ate 12 Lava Cakes, didn’t exactly keep them down but he ate them, for charity back in 2013 I believe.

Michael acting like a five year old on the Extra Life 2015 stream. Extra Life 2015 was the year that was worrying for people who actually like Michael. He not only did the Gallon Milk challenge – despite being lactose intolerant- but he also got tazed. Twice. Basically Michael is my favorite because he is a giant rage filled sweetheart who totally acts like a five year old sometimes and will do almost anything on a bet.
8Ryan Haywood
Here we have the oldest guy on this list. James Ryan Haywood is 35 years old, making him the oldest on this list. He’s also the only one who has kids. Ryan, I don’t know why he goes by Ryan instead of James but he just does, has been with the “main six” -or back when it was the “original six” even- since 2012. Ryan is one my favorites list because he’s a giant nerd who trips over words a lot. Also when he goes into “Mad King” or “Dark God” mode I immediately like the video that much more.

A close up from one of the many AH adventures last year. Even when his “dad” starts showing, he is still is one of my top favorites. Really, to me, he’s just a big adorable nerd. Also holy poop, aging has done him well because he doesn’t look much older than when he joined AH even though its been a few years since that happened. He used to be number one until the “twins” came around and dethroned him. -The “twins” refer to the top two of this list because as you’ll be able to see, they look very similar.-
9Adam Kovic
Adam Kovic is the second oldest guy on this list. He’s turning 31 at the end of this month (February). Kovic started out with multiple other gaming news systems before becoming FunHaus. He worked for G4 and Machinima doing purely video game news. He was the person who started Inside Gaming that would eventually become FunHaus. Adam is my number two favorite because he’s a genuinely nice guy. In one of the FunHaus Q&A videos, titled Open Haus, he – or one of his coworkers – said something about how he’ll get really subconscious when meeting fans and think that he made them feel awkward or something along the lines of that and then he curls up in a ball when he gets back to his hotel room.

Adam Kovic and one of his cats. I just really appreciate this man a lot. The internet had actually started an “Adam Kovic protection squad” after Adam tweeted about having a rough time with his family during Thanksgiving. The “protection squad” grouped together to send Kovic lots of gifts and letters letting him know that the community was there for him and supports him and all that kind of stuff.
10Jeremy Dooley
My number one favorite member of Achievement Hunter and/or FunHaus is Jeremy Dooley. Jeremy started working for Achievement Hunter in 2014 as part of the “B-team” and in May of 2015 he moved up to the “main six.” Jeremy, also commonly referred to as Lil’ J or JDoolz (as JDoolz is his Xbox Gamer Tag), became one of my favorites only shortly before he officially became part of the main team. He’s slowly been climbing the ranks of my favorites and he became my top favorite probably around the time of the Rooster Teeth Extra Life Stream 2015.

I find his humor amusing for one and his multitude of talents are simply amazing. He’s exceptionally talented with music. He created a series called the “Epic Rap Battles of Roosterteeth” on Youtube when he was just part of the community. (Fun fact: Some of the raps are getting redone with the actual people voicing them and are supposed to be out some time this year.) He’s also started a music project called 1551 with one of his friends that already has one song out and he’s been working on recording the second one. Overall, Lil’ J is my number one favorite because I appreciate his humor, like his backstory, empathize with his shortness, and the fact that he’s only a measly six years older than I am.
